Janie Glaspy Price, 88, went to be with Jesus on July 29, 2019. She was born on September 19, 1930 to John R. and Bertie Williams Glaspy in Bertram, TX. She married James Glen Price on October 1, 1949.

Family was very important to her and she took every opportunity to spend time with them. She loved working at her job and did not retire until she was age 80. She was very involved with the Bertram Church of Christ. Her involvement included: World Bible School, the Joy Bus and Prison ministries and she was a Bible Class Teacher for many years. Other hobbies she enjoyed were gardening, quilting and crocheting, sewing for her grandchildren, ceramics, and building/remodeling houses with her husband. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with her family.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers (Ray, Mike, and Jimmy). She is survived by her husband, Glen Price, of almost 70 years, her two sisters, Molly Barr and Marti Presley, her children Wayne Price and wife Brenda Munn Price, Gay Prather, Kenneth Price and Linda Jessup; her grandchildren Tamara Schoonmaker and husband Dean, Melissa Price, Megan Fitzpatrick and husband Randy, Jamie Price, Rochelle Price and Harlin Jessup; her great grandchildren James, Daithen, and Jayden Schoonmaker and Jackson and Lawsyn Fitzpatrick.

We want to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to the wonderful staff of Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their love, great care, and concern given to Janie and her family in this time of grief.

A private burial of ashes will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram, Texas. The Memorial Service for Janie will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 14 at the Bertram Church of Christ. Afterwards there will be a time for visitation and snacks.

The Family is requesting that in lieu of flowers you may donate to a charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
