Janie Elizabeth Roddy

Janie Elizabeth Roddy, 72, of Burnet, Texas passed away on February 2, 2026. Janie was born on September 25, 1953 in Colorado City, Texas, to Ophelia (Davenport) Roddy and Jimmy Layne Roddy. She graduated from Ira High School and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (although she was a lifelong Texas Tech fan). She was an accountant for over four decades, retiring from Austin Community College in 2018. She loved cats, women’s basketball and golf.

She is survived by her partner of nearly 48 years Gail Harmon, sister-in-law Cindy Bailey and children Jacob (Tanya), Patrick (Amanda, Peyton and Blake), Paige (Matthew Lewallen, Colton and Case) and Lucas, nephew Robert Grant (Stephanie, Grayson and Waverly), sister-in-law Mary Roddy, nephew Michael Roddy (Mary, Heather and Jenna), sister-in-law Jill Bratcher, (Jamie, Ethan, Gabe and Maygen, and Chris). As well as numerous friends and colleagues.

She was preceded in death by her parents Layne and Ophelia, brother Harold and nephew Mark.

A memorial service will be held on February 9th in Burnet at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
