Her husband praises her
Proverbs 31:28
Jessica Navae Dickinson peacefully and triumphantly gained her angel wings on May 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was welcomed into this world by her mother Debbie and father Greg on December 23, 1976, in Austin, TX. And boy did she hit the ground running!!! Her mom and grandmother would tell stories of how she learned to walk before she crawled. She was always independent and "wanted to do it herself". Nothing could stop the little girl with curly blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was the oldest of three, Guh-guh to Jannice and Josh.
Jessica loved nothing more than to spend time with her Memaw and Pawpaw. Painting ceramics or making mud pies in the playhouse, swimming countless hours in the pool, playing cards or dominos or even learning how to cook. Her time spent with them would be the seed planted that later harvested her strong and unwavering faith in the Lord.
Jessica met her high school sweetheart, Joshua, sophomore year. From that moment on they were inseparable. God's plan had begun.
They married September 7, 1996, and began their life in Leander. Soon after their first baby, Joshua Dylan, was born. A few years later baby girl, Arika Faye, would complete their family.
Jessica and Josh's next adventure would lead them to Oatmeal. With room to spread out and grow the kids enjoyed all the things that country living could offer. Hunting, fishing, rodeoing and taking care of the occasional critter that might need saving. Jess would lovingly refer to it as her "funny farm". In the midst of it all they started their own water well business, B&B Water Wells.
Josh ran the calls - Jessica ran the office. They were a team!!!
When they weren't working, they were having fun. Jessica loved to fish and hunt which meant Josh always had a sidekick. Her fish were generally bigger and her bucks always larger, but he made sure she was by his side doing it.
The kids would keep her busy too and she did it all!!!! From softball to baseball, powerlifting to football, she would haul horse trailers from rodeo to rodeo and she still found time for scrapbooking until 2am and the occasional trip to Hobby Lobby (wink, wink).
Jessica wore many hats. She was a faithful and loving wife, a homemaker, a devoted mother, an exceptional Momma J, Gigi to her fur babies, a One-of-a-Kind Cici and one heck of a cook!!!
Life for Jessica and her family was about just that - FAMILY. It was making sure memories were made and living life to the fullest. Without her knowing or even trying Jessica was a true inspiration to many people and touched lives that otherwise would not have been touched if not for her valiant fight and unshakeable faith in the Lord. The amazing legacy that Jessica has left behind is evident in those that survived her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joshua. Her sons, Dylan and fiancé Delaney, Laken. Daughter, Arika. Her beloved fur babies Camo, Cinch and Thor. Her mother Debbie Mondello. Her father Greg Futrell and wife Mary. Her sisters Jannice and fiancé Trevor, Shelly. Brothers Josh Futrell and Jack Futrell. Nephews, Hunter, Travis, Cayden, Levi, Lane and Cordell. Niece, Kinsley.
The visitation will be held Thursday June 5 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. The funeral service for Jessica will be held on Friday June 6 at 10:30 am at the Glad Tidings Church in Liberty Hill with burial to follow at Liberty HIll Cemetery.
