Martin Garcia

Our beloved brother Martin Garcia, Jr., age 60, resident of Burnet, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Our brother Martin was a loving, fun, hard working and crazy kind of person. His work included custodian, work with cement, landscaper and cook. His TV schedule was like clock work, Monday and Friday nights were for WWE wrestling, Saturday was Texas Longhorn football and Sunday was Dallas Cowboys football. Although he did not go to the Burnet Football games, he knew sisters Gloria and Suzanne were going to be there and would give him play by play details.

We would like to thank the Eucharist Ministers from Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. the staff at Oaks Nursing Home and Rehab, the staff at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet and especially the nurses in the ICU at Seton-Williamson Medical Center, Round Rock TX., for their dedicated services and care for our brother.

He is preceded in death by his father Martin H. Garcia and mother Lucille Bernal Flores Garcia, his brothers Joe Salazar, Sr., Santos Flores, Sr., Henry Flores and Emilio Flores; sister Lucille Ester Rodriguez and nephew James Flores, Jr.

Mr. Garcia is survived by his daughter Ashley Ramirez of Austin, brothers Frank Salazar, Lampasas, TX. Timothy Flores, Austin TX. James Candelario Flores, Sr. (Juanita) Dale, Tx, Tommy Flores (Victoria) Granite Shoals Tx, Tino Flores, Burnet Tx, Martin Garcia (Marianna) Idaho. Sisters Janie Chavira (Rick) Austin Tx, Suzanne Loftis (Tommy) Gloria Flores and Nancy Szalkowski, Burnet Tx, Guadalupe Lopez (Richard), Sara Sanchez (Jesus) Idaho, Hermelinda Martinez (Ray) Burnet TX, numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Aunts Thomasa Castillo, Maggie Aleman of Burnet, Anita Rivera of California and uncle Mike Bernal of Burnet.

Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel, funeral service 10:00 am, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet.
