

When Mary was around two years old her father Noel passed away. Her mother Elizabeth later married Clyde Hall who became the father Mary came to love and who raised her. Mary was raised in Burnet and attended school there celebrating the Burnet Class of 1955. She always looked forward to attending gatherings, reunions, and visits with her classmates of that year. In February 1953 Mary married Albert Arliss Hudgins and on January 30, 1954 she gave birth to her only child Darrel Arliss “Hutch” Hudgins.
Mary’s hobbies and interests include bowling (including serving as a board member of the Austin Bowling Association), photography, crochet work, painting, arts and crafts, shopping, and digging and collecting arrowheads with her brother Larry. She enjoyed family, especially family reunions, and the family gatherings at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoyed her work in real estate, movies with popcorn, eating out, cooking, sharing her life, and travel, especially world travel during Al's military career.
Mary devoted her time to volunteer service with activities at the Burnet County Fair & Rodeo Assn and the Highland Lakes Assn of Realtors where she had been a member since 1985. She was honored as REALTOR® of the Year in 1988 and in 1993 she served as President of that board. During her time on the board she served on numerous committees including ethics. She took pride in dedicating her time and experience as a mentor to others in the real estate community...
Surviving family members include her husband Albert, son Hutch his wife Sharon of Burnet; her grandsons Joshua Arliss Hudgins and wife Michelle, Jeremiah Andrew Hudgins and wife Annie and Dustin Anthony Hudgins and wife Sarah. Mary’s great-grandchildren are Zachary Arliss Hudgins, Timothy Joshua Hudgins, Luke Edward Hudgins, Shelby Reigh Hudgins, Brianne Leigh Hudgins, Andrew Arliss Hudgins, and Dylan Anthony Hudgins. Mary is survived by her brothers Harold Hall and wife Anna of Marble Falls and Howard Hall and wife Sharon of Austin and sisters Peggy Thompson and husband Tommy of Seguin, Patty Thompson and husband Dennis of Marble Falls, Evelyn Cain and husband Jim of Pflugerville, Janice Smith of Burnet and Barbara Smith and husband Dan of Austin and sister-in-law Karanell Hall of Marble Falls. Mary is also survived by over thirty nieces and nephews and other relatives. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Larry Hall.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 16th at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Pastor Rodney McGee will officiate at the funeral service 10:00 A.M. Saturday September 17th at Hill Country Fellowship Church in Burnet. Interment will follow at the Holland Cemetery. Pallbearers named were Josh Hudgins, Jay Hudgins, Dustin Hudgins, Clayton Smith, Dennis Thompson, and Dudley Hall. Honorary pallbearers named were her brothers Harold Hall and Howard Hall.
