Jody, your sweet heart and wonderful laughter is so missing in our world.  It has taken me almost a year to come here and say something about you, and instead I am talking to you.  We were distant cousins, but I am so grateful that we were more like sisters. We never in 30 plus years went more than a week or two with out talking and usually the calls were several hours, laughing and crying and working on our family history together. Not a minute  goes by that I don't feel the gap in my life without you.  I am not sure I can get through this so, maybe after I cry for a while, I will come back and see if I can continue... It has been so hard researching our lines when I can't talk with you to compare notes. I am not giving it up, although I did take most of the past year off, I am now back and running. Give John and the others hugs and will see you when God is done with me here.  I love and miss you always, until we are together again.  Debbie

Mary Jo/Jodi was my first supervisor at the NASA AudioVisual contract, A-V Service Corporation when I started working there in 1980.  This was back in the days of sending 16mm films in cardboard cases, held together with canvas straps, complete with a return postage card in the metal frame on the outside.  She was one of the last folks to be "let go" when the powers that be decided digital access was more efficient than 30 plus years of knowledge and experience.  She taught me excellent customer service, to always underpromise and overdeliver, and to answer the phone on the first ring!  She was strict, but kind, and revered amongst staff and customers alike.  Heaven has gained an angel; earth has lost a lovely person.  Prayers, strength and condolences to her family, friends and all who knew her.

Although it has been years... I can still hear Jody's friendly southern accent on the other end of the phone, when I called asking her for assistance regarding video content.  I am the video librarian at NASA Headquarters and Jody was a tremendous source of support early in my career.  She was a beautiful soul.  Grief is very personal. I pray that God's grace and love will comfort, strengthen and supply every need. She was missed when she left the agency.  This miss is far greater. To her loved ones, be encouraged in all things. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her.

My condolences to Jody's family. I never met her in person, because I live half a world away. But we were in touch frequently by mail as she handled my requests for NASA photos. She was always pleasant in her communications and for many years provided me with the perfect illustrations for my articles. Jody always was a big help and it was a shock to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.

We are so sorry for your loss. Jodi was our neighbor in League City. We really have missed her in the last couple of years. She will truly be missed, until we meet again in the presence of our Lord Jesus. May the Lord comfort, bless and keep you.
