Patricia Ann (Hines) Henderson age 89 of Buchanan Dam passed away November 13, 2021. She was the second child born to Agnes Combs and Earl Hines in Pampa July 28, 1932. Earl worked in the oil field, and they lived all over the U.S. She later continued that adventure when she later met and married Lester, going to Canada and Alaska.

She lived through World War II rationing and the Great Depression. She remembered rationing sugar and because of that you never left her home without something sweet, be it food or a hug. Patricia graduated High School in Taft, California and attended college at Wharton Junior College. She met Lester Henderson while working for Phillips Petroleum in Old Ocean,Texas. They later married and had three children, Lester, Ken, and Beth.

Her passion was music, and she had a beautiful singing voice. She and her brother Worley played many clubs. They even recorded a record.

Patricia enjoyed family and friends and never knew a stranger.

Patricia is survived by sons Lester and Kenneth Henderson and daughter Elizabeth Henderson Childers, granddaughter Samantha Bowhall, and brother Jerry Hines.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Stockwell Henderson and her brother, Worley Hines.

The visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church at Buchanan Dam. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM there at the Church.

Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.

Our Deepest Sympathies and Prayers to the Henderson and Hines Families. Grandma, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Pat Will Be Greatly Missed for She Touched So Many Hearts and Lives. She Was a Very Caring, Loving and Best All-Around Person I Have Ever Known, Next to Her Grand-Parents, Her Folks, Brothers Worley, My Dad, Walter and Jerry. Heaven Has Been Truly Blessed and Graced With Her Presence Next to the Angels and Jesus Christ, Our Savior. I Will Say Good-Bye For Now, But I Will Meet and See You Again. I Love You Dearly, Aunt Pat. Peace Be With You…

Dear Beth, Jerry and Family,
Today I am celebrating Pat's life and remembering the special times we shared. Your mom was so special in so many ways. She had an open heart and arms to give a much needed hug and her beautiful smile was contagious. Pat always opened her home to everyone and had a fantastic way of making you feel welcome. I am thankful for our friendship and for our many memorable visits. We have this inscription on mother's and daddy's, and my brother Doug's headstone - "To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is to never die". Your mom and sister will always be in the hearts of those who loved her, and I'm thankful for those precious memories. May God bless each of you today and always.

What a precious lady! I did not have the privilege of knowing her earlier in life, but she still made an impact with her smile and sweet spirit.

Her love for music was inspiring. She always had a sweet comment about the worship service and the church. I imagine the music she is hearing at the moment is inspiring as well! Only a temporary good-bye, Pat - we look forward to seeing you soon!
