Pauline Lester

Pauline Heine Lester, 90 of Burnet passed away Sunday March 9, 2014. She was born July 22, 1923, in Smithwick to Richard Heine and Willie Naomi Hood Heine. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Burnet County and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bertram. She was known for her love of children and for many years took care of them from her home. She also helped her sister-in-law Mildred Edwards with her child care in Austin. Pauline loved cooking and preparing food for anyone. Many many people stopped by “Pauline’s Diner” for a good home cooked meal.

Pauline is survived by her husband Clayton Lester of Burnet, daughters Sandra Schwartz and husband Walter of Burnet and Darnell Morris and husband Junior of Bertram and son Danny Loyd Lester of Burnet. Pauline is also survived by grandchildren Christi Murrison and husband Paul of Spring Branch, Todd Morris and wife Jessica of Bertram, and Kallie Nicole Klinksiek and husband Earl of Liberty Hill, and Blake Morris of Bertram, Dwayne Schwartz of Marble Falls and Bob Schwartz of Galveston. Her great grandchildren are Jaycee, Will, and Aiden Morris and Conley and Dax Murrison and Case Klinksiek. Pauline was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday March 11 from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet with Reverend Daryl Johnson officiating. Pallbearers named were Clayton Smith, Chad Smith, Garry Adams, Travis Adams, Brian Tara, Lee Wilson, Jinx Blank, and Dudley Hall. Honorary pallbearers named were Joe Pogue, Dub Johnson, and Dr. Lloyd Jones.
