In 1971 she met and married SSgT Grover Sellers, while he was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. It was then that her toughest job began for the 26 years, that of being a military spouse. Ratana enjoyed her travels and made many friends around the world.
A few of the places that Grover and Ratana were stationed included, North Carolina, Virginia, Okinawa and Germany.
In 1997, Grover and Ratana retired to Buchanan Dam, Texas. Ratana enjoyed bass fishing and earned many trophies and plaques from fishing tournaments in North Carolina. Ratana’s hobbies included gardening and sewing.
Ratana is survived by her husband and best friend of 52 years, CMSgt. Grover Sellers, daughter Tina Cummings and son-in-law Ted Cummings along with one grandson, Aaron Moss.
Arrangements for Ratana are entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
