Richard Schilling

He is survived by his wife Annelle Schilling, daughter Kimberly and husband Jerry Kirkland, son Shane and wife Melanie Schilling of Burnet, son Corey Schilling and girlfriend Tilena Witt all of Burnet, TX. Also by brothers Walker & wife Ellen Schilling, George and Marti Schilling of Burnet, TX; Eddie and wife Jean Schilling of Luling, TX. Step children Keith and Pat Shelley of Kerrville, TX; Carrie and Billy Stewart of Midland , TX; Lisa and Don Shelton of Seguin, TX; and Susan Shelley of Marble Falls, TX. Richard is also survived by his grandchildren Mackinzee Schilling, Koen Kirkland, Blaine Schilling, Katie Kirkland, Kallie Schilling, Bry Schilling, Kobie Schilling, Jennifer and Paul Strey, Jeffery Whitt, Trace Shelton, Ty Shelton, and Taylor Shelton. Great grandchildren Alex Strey, Marias Strey, Kylee McCarrell, Kaden Strey, Kolton Strey, Bailey Whitt nad Coy Whitt.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents August and Sadie Schilling, his brother Gene Schilling, his sister Mary Louise Lopez and his wife Ava Schilling.

He enjoyed the Livestock Show, raising show hogs and hunting. He also loved Texas A&M football, his family and his friends. Richard served 30 years of service to the Burnet Livestock Show as a board member. Coached Little League for 15 years. He retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife after 29 years.

Visitation will be Saturday December 28, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX.

Services will be Sunday December 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX.

Memorials may be made to the Hill Country Memorial Hospice and Circle of Hands.
