

Clay was born on March 16th, 1940 in Midland, TX. Beginning as milk and ice cream deliverer, Clay remained employed within the dairy industry for over 45 years, most recently as General Manager for Dean Foods, and Account Executive at Oak Farms Dairy, Austin, TX.
Clay is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia. Clay is also survived by two sons Robert Chris and Randall Craig, two grandsons Lee and Jack and three brothers, his twin brother Henry Ray, Ron and Gary, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Clay was preceded in death by his father Henry Clay “Jack” Stringer and his mother, Laverne Stringer, and brother Allen Stringer.
Clay was a dedicated and loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather, and was also an avid golfer. Prior to returning to TX to live in Burnet, Clay and his family lived in Arizona, Tennessee, and Florida.
Clay attended Hills Country Fellowship in Burnet, TX.
In honor of Clay Stringer, the family requests that donations be made to Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Temple, TX.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hill Country Fellowship Church in Burnet, Texas. Interment will follow at the Post Mountain Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.clementswilcoxburnet.com
