He married Gloria Larson in 1948 in Ironwood, MI and they were married for 66 years. Bob was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and worked for EXXON and for its predecessor companies for 36 years.
Bob is survived by his wife Gloria of Burnet, daughter Janice Vesper Martin and husband C. David Martin of Florida, sister Helen Stec of Nebraska, granddaughters Claire and husband David Smith, Sheila and husband Michael Bentley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert David Vesper, and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 22, 2014, at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Stan Troy officiating.
Interment will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 10:00 am at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX.
