Sarah Brown

Sarah Ruth Pogue Brown, age 73 of Marble Falls passed away April 13, 2014. She was born June 11, 1940, in Burnet to John Haynes Pogue, Sr. and Lubel Atkinson Pogue. She was a lifelong resident of Burnet County and had lived in Marble Falls for the past 20 years.

Sarah graduated from Burnet High School in 1958 and attended Beautician School and worked for many years in Burnet. She enjoyed cross-stitching and reading.

Sarah is survived by her son Phillip Brizendine of Burnet, daughter Renee Yates and husband Lonnie of Marble Falls, son Robert Brown of Marble Falls, and daughter Amy Brown of Orlando, Florida. Also surviving is her brother Joe Pogue of Burnet, grandchildren Kyle Brizendine and wife Samantha of Burnet and Taylor Yates of San Marcos, and great granddaughter Paisley Brizendine of Burnet. Sarah is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bobby E. Brown, sister Mary Lou Guess, and brother John Pogue, Jr.

A visitation for Sarah will be held Thursday evening April 17, 2014, from 6 to 8. Her funeral will be held at 11am Friday, April 18 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Those named as pallbearers were Clayton Smith, Chad Smith, Robert Griffith, Mike Martin, David Pilgrim, Jamie Brizendine.
