She was born March 9, 1951, at the US Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Robert Clarence Gordy and Maryanne Isabel (Anderson) Gordy.
Sidonie attended Clear Creek High School in Seabrook, Texas, class of 1969 and then went on to graduate from Sol Ross University in Alpine, Texas in 1973. She worked as a manager in the AT&T Corporate Data Center and upon retirement from the AT&T Bell South Company, she and her husband Russell selected Burnet in the Hill Country as their home.
During her lifetime Sidonie lived in many places, among them were Oahu, Hawaii, Key West, Florida, Galveston, Texas, Groton, Connecticut, St. Louis, Missouri, Miami, Florida, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Atlanta, Georgia.
According to her longtime request Sidonie will be cremated and disposition of her ashes will be made privately.
