Timothy Ulysses Tognetty

Tim grew up in East Texas, and he joined the United States Navy in 1957 where he proudly served in the submarine service until 1960.

After his military service, Tim moved to Houston, TX. He married Carleanne and built a career with Schlumberger Oil Well Services, starting in the paint shop and retiring as a manufacturing engineer in 1988. He then joined Carleanne in expanding Complete Record Service, a legal services business she had started years earlier.

In 2000, he and Carleanne retired and relocated to Inks Lake, where he and his family had vacationed for decades. Together they created a place full of memories his family will always treasure.

Tim’s greatest joy was his family, believing them to be able to accomplish anything they put their minds to. He was always their number one fan, loving them fiercely.

That joy was especially evident when spending time with them on the water. He loved boating and water sports, passing on that love to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Summers on Inks Lake were full of water skiing, knee boarding, wakeboarding, and being slung around on tubes. He was an accomplished water skier, demonstrating about his ability to slalom while holding the rope with the other foot - something his offspring have yet to accomplish.

Tim was baptized into the Christian faith as a child and grew in his faith as an active member of Genesis Lutheran Church in Buchanan Dam, Texas, where God blessed him with wonderful friends.

Tim is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carleanne Tognetty; his daughter Julie Woolsey and her husband, Bill; and his daughter Lara Aston and her husband, Rick, who preceded him in death.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Timothy Woolsey and his wife, Caitlyn; Abigail Taylor and her husband, Nick; Andrew Aston and his wife, Andie; Caleb Aston and his wife, Abby; Samuel Woolsey and his wife, Rachel; Savanna Aston; and Faith Atkin and her husband, Will.

Great-grandchildren include Ezra Taylor, Elisha Taylor, Levi Taylor, Lydia Woolsey, and Emma Atkin, with three more great-grandchildren on the way.

Tim will be greatly missed. We look forward to being with him again in the resurrection of the dead, when Jesus will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things will have passed away.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. at Genesis Lutheran Church of Buchanan Dam, TX with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Cemetery.
