Virginia "Jenny" Maynard

Jenny married Arlis Wahrmund June 13, 1959 and had three children. She married David Maynard, who had four children, on August 1, 1969 and they joined their families into one. Jenny worked hard to care for their family and home. She loved working in her flower beds and always had the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. She loved camping and traveling with David. She loved cooking for many people and visiting with friends and family. She loved birds, especially hummingbirds, and her little chihuahua, Rocky, and treated him just like one of her kids.

Jenny is survived by sons Steven Wahrmund and wife Julie, Kenneth Maynard and wife Deborah, Jason Maynard and wife Melissa, and by daughters Debbie Evers and husband Randy, and Brenda Dunn and husband Clayton

Surviving grandsons are Dustin, Jace and Justin Maynard, Greg Evers, Joshua Wahrmund, Cody and Kyle Dunn, Robert Lavery Jr., and Anthony and Alex Ramirez. Jenny’s granddaughters are Christy Evers, Courtney Dunn, Emily Wahrmund, Lynn Rossel, and Jennifer Barajos. Jenny also has 8 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are Jenny’s sisters Dorothy Medlock and Shirley Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Lee Maynard, daughter Karen Maynard, son David Ray Maynard, brothers Don and Ron Montgomery and sisters Marie Kirchner and Helen Barret.

A graveside service and burial for Jenny will take place at 3 pm, Sunday, August 24 at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.

Those named as pallbearers were Dustin Maynard, Jace Maynard, Justin Maynard, Cody Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Greg Evers, Devon Evers, and Alex Ramirez.
