

She was born on October 9, 1935, in Brown County and was raised by her parents, Virgil and D’Alva Moseley.
Willa Mae married her beloved husband, James Ray Palmer, on May 22, 1954, in Early, Texas.
Willa Mae was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life and legacy were defined by grace, dedication, and unwavering faith.
She devoted many years of service to the Texas Railroad Commission, a career she spoke of with pride and regarded as one of her greatest accomplishments. Her strong work ethic and commitment reflected the values she carried throughout her life.
Outside of work, she found joy in simple pleasures—playing dominoes and bridge—pastimes that often brought family and friends together and created lasting memories. She also cherished her life on Lake Buchanan, where she and James loved to fish and enjoy the beauty and life of the lake. Children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends shared in these moments, creating traditions and memories that will live on for generations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Norice Moseley, and his wife, Sandra Moseley; her nephew, Bryan Moseley; her son-in-law, Tookie Berry; and her husband, James Ray Palmer, the love of her life.
Willa Mae is survived by her sisters, Martha Ann Dodds and her husband Bobby, and Linda Watkins and her husband Damon, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her children: Gary Palmer and his wife Sissy, of Kingsville, Texas, and Gena Berry, of Burnet, Texas.
Grandchildren include Ryan Bebee and his wife Samantha, Cole Bebee and his wife Sherri, Amanda Thompson and her husband Cody, and Ashleigh Berry and her partner, Patric.
Great-grandchildren include Leia Bebee, Logan Thompson, and Kenedy Thompson.
Willa Mae will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. While her absence leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband, James, and the many family members and friends who went before her. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape.
A celebration of Willa Mae’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
