

Dan (B.D., Billy Dan, Hack, Big Red) Hackworth passed away on June 29, 2015. Dan was born on October 18, 1940 and was a life-long resident of Llano, Texas.
Dan was an avid reader, hunter, fisherman and a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed his “ranch” and “lake” time with family and friends. Dan was a well-loved and respected homebuilder who touched many lives with his wit and wisdom throughout his 50+ year career. He was always ready to share a smile, joke or story and always made everyone feel like he had all the time in the world for them.
Dan is preceded in death by his father, David Hackworth Sr., his mother Janet Fraser Hackworth, and his daughter Terri Ann Thomen.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Sharon Russell Hackworth of Llano, son Dan Hackworth and wife Kellie of Pflugerville, son Jason Hackworth and wife Janet of Llano, brother David Hackworth Jr. and wife Donna of Giddings, “sisters” JoNell Russell Rihn of Seguin, and Cindy Russell Price of Johnson City, grandchildren Jessie and Jordan Hackworth, Laura Cooper, Elizabeth Lacy, Kaitlyn Hackworth and Kimberly Hoggatt, nieces Cheri Michelle “Missy” Gilbert, Janet Lynn Hackworth, Robertina Hackworth and Taylor Price, great-nephew Harrison Gilbert and many extended family and friends.
Visitation at the family home will be held on Thursday, July 2th from 6:00-8:00pm. Graveside services will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Llano City Cemetery. Visit www.clementswilcoxburnet.com for future details.
