Consuelo “Consie” Maria Nielsen was born in Calexico, CA on October 3, 1924 to Jesus and Maria Sandez who preceded her in death. She died in Redding, CA on December 24, 2010. She is survived by her brother Ted Sandez, daughters Carolyn Garrigus (James), Alma Heath (Norman), Barbara Ward, son Brent Nielsen (Lisa), six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by step-daughters Cheryl Wilson (Robert) and Danna Sandberg. She is preceded in death by husband Dan, brother Conrad, and sisters Victoria and Marie. Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Burney. A reception will be held at Word of Life Gym following private graveside services. Memorial contributions may be made to St Francis Women’s Guild.
