John was born 10/12/1941 in Santa Ana, California to Harold and Nellie Martin.

John passed away on December 7, 2010 surrounded by his family and good friends.

John was preceded in death by parents Harold and Nellie and sister Janae. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl, daughter Carrie Osborne, son-in-law Rodney, son John Jr, and daughter-in-law Mary, son Jim and daughter-in-law Roxanne, daughter Cheri McClung and son-in-law Mike. John is also survived by 7 grandchildren Rodney Jr., Zachary John, Anesha & Mike, Tahnee & Vernon, Kelcee, Alyssa, and Alyson. John also had 2 great-grandchildren Ryder & Cadence. John is also survived by many brothers and a sister: Barney of Salem, Or., Gay Wright of Texas, Fred of Woodland Hills, Ca., Hal of Burney, Ca., and Olen of Westminster, Ca. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was always fun-loving and enjoyed playing jokes. He will be greatly missed by many.
