I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of Alex. He wasn’t simply a family friend — I truly thought of him as my nephew. I had the privilege of babysitting him when he was little, spending time with him, laughing with him, watching him grow, and witnessing the young man he was becoming. Those memories aren’t small moments to me; they are treasures that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Although he is no longer with us, Alex’s spirit and the impact he made will continue to live on. We honor him by carrying his love forward and remembering the joy he brought into this world.

Rest peacefully, Alex.
You will always be remembered, always missed, and always loved.

When I met Alex, my first thought was we were not going to get along. He was what I believed to be cocky, semi-popular, and an airhead. 
I could not have been more misplaced in my judgement than it was that day. 
My sophmore year, I was lost. I was broken, and scared, and would lash out at any moment. I didn't really fit in. I came from a school with less students and staff than a single graduating class at Caledonia. That with the reasons I moved, made me feel alone, and like nobody would accept me unless it was just for their benefit. 
I felt especially alone when I was in physical classes. Like Competitive Sports, where I met Alex. In that class I had a few people I would talk to, but none that really talked first. Alex talked first though. Heck he talked first to everybody. Sometimes it wasn't nice. But it was always kind because it was honest and he meant the best. He celebrated when you won. He told you the issues and what to work on when you lost. He would poke fun of anyone, and check on them when they seemed down. When I got cut from the baseball team, the only thing I had looked forward to in my life at that point, he was one of two people who checked on my in that class. When I told him, he said "Who gives a shit about what those coaches think. You can always go next year. Plus we all know you know what you are doing. You taught the only girl in our class who everybody else was making fun of how to get base hits and to throw. You'll be fine. If you love it you'll get another chance". He never said another thing like it to me. He never said anything about it afterwords, except when people were messing with me about messing up, he said to take it down a notch. Alex is the only one who's words got to me through the depression and worthlessness I felt. I know I will see him again one day. Till then, to the family I am so sorry for your loss, and to Alex, I hope you fly high and burnout on some gold streets man. ~Mitchell J. Moelker

Alex & I were never extremely close in high school but I always considered him a valued friend. Throughout our 4 years, we were in a few different classes together. I can’t remember the first time we spoke that started our friendship but I’ll forever be thankful for it. Alex always had a way of brightening my mood if I was down, & somehow noticed whenever I was. He was always there to make me laugh & I’ll forever miss the sound of his. Alex was the greatest friend anyone could’ve asked for & I’m beyond grateful to have been able to call him one of mine.

We went to elementary school through high school together and lived in the same neighborhood for as long as I can remember. The bus rides home from Dutton Elementary were always so much fun. You were such a kind person, so full of light. I’m praying for your family during this time. You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Alex. ❤️

Man I remember we used to sit up, play videos game, drink all the Mountain Dew and walk to the dollar general to just get more to wrestle in you’re moms living room, we used to giggle when we almost would hit your mom tv stand. Miss you lil man! Fly high bubba

The moment you left, my heart split in two. One side filled with memories. The other side died with you. I often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep. Taking a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek. Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday. But missing you is heartache that never goes away. I hold you tight in my heart and there you will remain. As life goes on without you and will never be the same! 
 
 I miss you so much! Your heart was so big!

Alex was always an incredibly bright soul. He never failed to make one laugh, or feel better in times of stress. I will always hold every memory I have of Alex extremely dear to my heart. He deserves to rest at peace, and may his family receive endless amounts of love during this time. Long Live Alexander.
