Carol Lynn Hoezee

A lifelong resident of the Grand Rapids area, Carol built a life centered on family, love, and creating cherished memories with those closest to her. Carol was the beloved wife of Lary "Dutch" Hoezee and a devoted mother to Cory Hoezee and his wife, Kristen, June (Hoezee) VanDuinen and her husband, Timothy, and Kevin Hoezee and his wife, Dawn. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Matthew, Sean, Mitchell, Ana, Maria, Carolynn, and Calvin, and a treasured great-grandmother to Avery and Finn, with a third great-grandchild soon to join the family.

Family was the center of Carol's world. She especially loved bringing her family together on camping trips, creating traditions and memories that will be cherished for generations. Whether gathered around a campfire, sharing a home-cooked meal, or spending time together during the holidays, Carol found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, and working on puzzles, always keeping her hands and mind busy. Carol was also known for her remarkable memory, recalling stories, family moments, and details from years past with a clarity that often amazed those around her. Her stories helped preserve family history and brought laughter and connection to every gathering.
