Syren, Charles F., age 80, went into the arms of Jesus September 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a cherished husband, father, devoted friend and a man of faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Chuck was born December 3, 1944 to Jean and Gustave Syren. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an active member of the Grand Rapids First Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and usher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; precious granddaughter, Katie; and cousins Jim VanderHoven and James Ward. Chuck left behind his wife of 58 years, Judith; children Eric Syren, Andrew (Mandy) Syren, Rebecca (Ron) Slazek; grandchildren Emeline Syren, Conlin (Fuchsia) Syren, Ryan and Mallory Syren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service, at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center, Michigan 49315.
