Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. “Skip” Grimes; parents Karl and Ethel Schlanderer; siblings Madelyn Reges, Jeff Schlanderer, Sandra Schlanderer, Art Schlanderer. She will be remembered by her children Lisa Grimes, Pamela (Mike) Schwanz, Joshua (Marissa) Grimes; grandchildren Aidan and Callum; siblings Bruce (Joyce) Schlanderer, Anne (Joe) Darr; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation with Deb’s family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Celebration of Deb’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., also at Cook - Byron Center Chapel.
