Donna Boven, age 71, quietly passed into glory on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Her subtle acts of kindness brought joy to countless lives. Her servant’s heart was on display for all to see. Patiently bearing through physical suffering, she is now whole and complete in her eternal home.
Donna loved family, whether it was her immediate family or her spiritual brothers and sisters, but above all she loved her heavenly Father. She yearned to be perfected and join the Church Triumphant. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of thy Lord” (Matt 25:21).
She was preceded in death by her brother, Hib Kuiper; and brother-in-law, Glenn Boven. She is survived by her husband, Al Boven; children Dean (Heidi) Boven, Terri Boven, and Dustin (Nadine) Boven; grandchildren Brianna (Branden), Elise, Carson, Maylee, Grayden, Caleb, Josh, Leah, and Abby; great-grandchild, Lettie; siblings Linda (Jim) Kidder, Jay (Judy) Kuiper, Daryl (Sharon) Kuiper; brothers- and sisters-in-law Bev (Les) Barnhill, Dave (Kath) Boven, Jann Danielson, Duke Boven; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was member of Hudsonville Protestant Reformed Church where she was active in Bible study groups. She loved spending time with family, especially with her precious grandchildren. She was well-respected for her caring and nurturing personality.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Trinity CRC, 60 Port Sheldon St., Grandville, MI 49418.
