Eldon Earl Crawford

Eldon Earl Crawford was born April 9, 1934. He passed away September 23, 2025 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Natalie "Nettie" (Bourgeois) Crawford; siblings Carl Crawford, Neal Crawford, Lorraine Kuzyk, Belva Mayo, Pat Durda; and granddaughter, Brooke Crawford. He is survived by his children Diana Bekins, Nancy Crawford, and Robert (Paula) Crawford; grandchildren Peter (Jennifer) Bekins, Dan (Yandra) Bekins, Caroline (Tyler) Bekins, Ashley (Jason) Crawford, Melissa (Mark) Underwood, Evan Crawford, Anya (Delvon) Crawford, Ben Grabill, Andy Grabill, Nick Grabill, Cassandra (Monica) Celaya, Zachary (Jessica) Martin-Mayers, Kameron Mayers; and eight great-grandchildren.

Eldon was born in Byron Center, Michigan, and was a longtime resident of both Grand Haven and Muskegon. He believed in hard work, starting off by working at Brunswick while still in high school, and then operating Crawford Irrigation until just months before his death. He was a former elder and deacon at Hope Reformed Church in Grand Haven. Eldon enjoyed cheering on all of his favorite Michigan teams throughout the year, but especially the Michigan Wolverines. He relished time with his family and especially enjoyed activities with his grandchildren, forever trying to make everyone laugh. Always ready to lend a hand to those in need, he will be missed by many.

A celebration of life service will be held at Whitlow’s Restaurant (4610 Airline Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444) from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their online guestbook.
