Ethan was a software consultant for SAP SuccessFactors, implementing learning systems for major corporations in the U.S. He was a CNC artist, though he would say he was just a programmer, yet his beautiful carvings would say otherwise. Ethan - with his dad - was a builder of houses from inside out. He took an old cottage near Torch Lake, Michigan and transformed it into a small, energy efficient castle that he loved, and that in turn, protected him and gave him great comfort. Ethan spent leisure hours as a Path of Exile gamer of world renown. Because of this, most of his best friends were located in other countries of the world which gave him a unique perspective of the world in which he lived, and the creatures that inhabited it, which he loved with all his heart. He was a kind and gentle soul, who helped others rather than himself.
Ethan combatted mental illness all of his adult life with strength and courage. His battle - and it was an epic battle - ends now. His body just gave up on him. He is now at peace.
He left behind his parents Scott and Lynne; sister, Ashley Moelker; brother-in-law, Travis Moelker; and special nephew and partner in crime, Ford Moelker. Ethan was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Arly Vinkemulder and Richard and Melissa Ryman.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Ethan, contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
