Frank James Chase

Frank James Chase, age 66, went to be with his Lord Friday, February 4, 2022. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Donald F. Chase Sr. He will be remembered by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Chase; children Lisa (Jeffrey) Johnson, Kevin (Sarah) Chase, Joanna Chase, Cherith (Stephen) Lane, and Benjamin (Sydney) Chase; grandchildren Clayton, Kiley, Kaiden, Jacob, Brendon, Ronan, Savannah, Emry, and Chase; mother, Ethel (VanPelt) Chase; brothers William Chase, David (Deanna) Chase, and Donald (Barbara) Chase Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Frank graduated from Byron Center High School in 1973 and attended Grand Rapids Junior College. He worked at General Motors for over 40 years and was well-respected and admired. Frank loved the Lord Jesus, was a member of Grace Immanuel Reformed Baptist Church and loved discussing theology. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, attending football games, going to his grandchildren's sporting and music events, traveling up north, rock hunting, cutting and crafting with wood.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 and 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Grace Immanuel Reformed Baptist Church, 860 Peachcrest Ct., Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A Celebration of Frank’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the church. There will be a mask only room available. Pastor Jeff Johnson will be officiating. In honor of Frank and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reformed Baptist Seminary at https://rbseminary.org/donate. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
