Geraldine Branewski

Geraldine (Pat) Branewski, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, September 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Nellie Van Heyningen; husband, Anthony Branewski; daughter, Katherine (K.K.) Branewski; and siblings Bill (Gertrude) Van Heyningen, Marge (Lyle) Willis, and Tony (Lois) Van Heyningen; and niece, Linda Willis Brelin.

She will be lovingly missed by her children Joel Branewski and Barbara Groff; grandson, Spencer Groff; nephews Bob, Terry, Tom, and David Van Heyningen and Jim Willis, and their families - including many great-nieces and -nephews; and cousin, Nelson Van Leeuwen.

Geraldine was born in Grand Rapids and was given the nickname Pat as a small child. She graduated from South High School in 1942 and married husband, Tony, in 1948. They were together for 53 years until Tony passed in 2002. Throughout her life, she expressed her love and talent for music by directing and singing in church choirs.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 1084 - 76th Street SW, Byron Center, with one hour of visitation prior to service.

Pastor Gary Zinger will be officiating.
