

Gertrude Mulder, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mulder. She will be lovingly missed by her children Mark (Ellen), Mike (Lori), Joe (Janna), Jana (Rich) Hoekwater, Todd (Ellen), and Ted (Joanne); grandchildren James (Jen), Matthew (Val), Katie (Ryan), Ben (Jacqueline), McKenzy, Aaron, Becky, Nathan (Tracy), Darcie, Desiree (Dustin), Rachelle, Scott (Julie), Trisha (Jon), Tom, Nicole (Eric), Jason (Britley), Jordan (Holly), Kassie (Joel), Kayleen (Ron), Jessica (David), Jonathan (Anneliese); 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Roy) Beetham; brother-in-law, Henry DeVries; sisters-in-law Muriel Tolsma, Lillian Westdorp, Kay Ponstine, Mae, Lois, Marian, and June Mulder; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gert was a lifetime servant of God, serving six years as a Christian school teacher in Falmouth, Byron Center, and Dutton, before having her six children. She was a Sunday school teacher, kids’ Bible club leader, and spent over 30 years in prayer ministries, praying for people, with the 700 Club and Res Life Church’s Walking By Faith ministry.
Visitation with Gert’s family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Resurrection Life Church, 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, MI (Res Center using doors E or H), with visitation beginning an hour prior to the service.
