Heather MacQueen Dalecke, age 68, went to be with her Lord Sunday, September 28, 2025. Heather was preceded in death by her husbands Morrie Hyde and Lenny Dalecke; and parents Marshall and Burnadette Haney. She will be remembered by her son, Nicholas Dalecke (Cheyenne); grandson, Morrie; siblings Marshall Haney (Cathy), Pam Johnson (Mark) and Cynthia Lannon (Mark); many nieces, nephews, and her very dear friend, Bryan.
Heather enjoyed traveling, gardening, and decorating. Her passions lead her all across the United States, and internationally via train, plane, car, motorcycle, and boat. She used her love of flowers and gardening to open a successful flower shop in Muskegon Heights, and later a landscaping business in Tucson, Arizona. In the final months of her life, she could usually be found outside tending her plants and patio or inside holding her new grandson. She left this world surrounded by friends and family.
A celebration of Heather’s life will commence 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 47 Jefferson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. In honor of Heather and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center or John Ball Zoo.
