He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Mildred DeKleine; great-granddaughters Quinn and Thea Lutke. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Betty DeKleine; children Jay (Kim) DeKleine, Joan (Ken) Buiter, Jon (Vonda) DeKleine, Jacob (Amy) DeKleine; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; many cousins and friends.
Celebration of Jake’s life will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m., at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center, Michigan 49315.
