Jeffrey Alan Dykstra

Jeffrey Alan Dykstra, age 56, went to be with his Lord Thursday, October 2, 2025. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Dykstra. He will be remembered by his wife, Heidi Dykstra; children Caleb, Kasey, Justin, and Isabella; mother, Shirley Canfield; brother, Steve (Deb) Dykstra; aunts Mary Rybiski, Carol Weber, and Diane Alflen; and fondly remembered by many cousins and friends.

Jeff loved going for car rides to enjoy the open road and explore new places. He would introduce his family to his favorite hair nation 80s music and have jam sessions. Jeff was a provider at heart and loved challenging himself in new ways at his profession, conducting himself as a lifetime learner. Jeff took pride in being a west Michigan native and always stayed involved in the civil affairs of the area, encouraging others to do so as well. Jeff loved spending time with friends and loved ones at holidays and gatherings, even dressing up as the community Santa Claus for many years.

A memorial celebration of Jeffrey’s life will commence 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, with visitation one hour prior at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street, Byron Center, MI 49315. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guestbook online.
