Born on January 13, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA, Jeff was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Al and Betty. He and his wife, Debbie, the love of his life, shared 35 wonderful years together and proudly raised two sons Eric (Julie) and Andrew (Gabie). He is also survived by his siblings Jan (Jamie), Mark (Ann), Glenn (Marie); and many nieces and nephews. He had a soft spot for his German shepherd grand-pup, Baron, who brought him several years of support. Jeff will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He dedicated over 30 years of his life working at Ford Motor Company, where he built relationships with coworkers and friends. Outside of work, he loved staying active and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing pickleball and hockey. He split his time between Michigan and Florida, appreciating the different things each had to offer.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his great sense of humor, kind heart, strength, generosity, and the many memories he made with those around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, friendship, and love that won’t be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Stonebridge Golf Club, 1825 Clubhouse Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Jeff’s memory may consider making a donation to cancer research organizations like PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), Project Purple, and many others. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guestbook online.
Rest peacefully, Jeff. You’ll always be in our hearts.
