Jennie Mae Valencourt, age 91, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, John Valencourt; parents Albert and Harriet Chanda; brothers Albert, Lawrence, Jerome, and Richard Chanda; brothers-in-law Steve Poole and Kenneth Timmer; sisters-in-law Dolores Chanda and Eleanor Chanda; daughter-in-law, Patricia Valencourt; grandson, Joshua Valencourt. She will be remembered by her children Keith Valencourt, Sandra Andrews, Gary (Peggy) Valencourt, Roger (Susan) Valencourt, and Reva (Robert) Radle; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings Marjorie Timmer and Linda Poole; in-laws and Joyce Chanda and Brenda Chanda; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at South United Methodist Church, 4500 Division Ave. S, Grand Rapids, MI 49548. A Celebration of Jennie’s Life will commence immediately following at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at South United Methodist Church. Pastor Mike Ramsey will be officiating. In honor of Jennie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan, MI.
