John Zuverink Jr., age 96, went to his eternal home on May 27, 2022. He is now at peace in the everlasting arms of his savior Jesus Christ and is reunited with his dear daughter Debra Zuverink, who preceded him in death. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Anna Zuverink; children Joyce (Mark) Sampson, Nancy (Tom) Adams, and Mark Zuverink; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Don Zuverink; sisters-in-law Laura VanEerden and Marilyn (Ron) Hillegonds; and brother-in-law, Al Boverhof.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Relatives and friends may also visit the family on Sunday, June 5 from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Winchester Cemetery.
John’s family gives special thanks to the staff at Sunset Manor for their loving care of John during the past three years. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation are welcome.
