

Karen Ann Myers, age 83, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Myers, and parents Jacob and Lydia Worch. She will be remembered by her children Todd (Katie) Myers, Becky (Walt) Dyer, and Dan (Kathy) Myers; grandchildren Derek (Jen) Dyer, Zach (Olivia) Myers, Kristi (Jack) Wright, Danielle (Jon) Sargent, Nate Myers, Matt Myers and Lainey Myers; 9 great-grandchildren; and other friends and relatives.
Karen was a devoted wife and mother and was very proud of her family. She could show a fiery side if she felt the need to defend her loved ones.
She was also very proud of her faith and was a member of the Lutheran Church. In her younger years, Karen and Harlan were active in the youth group at Grace Lutheran Church and also helped put on the Easter breakfast.
Karen loved the beach. She spent many relaxing hours on Lake Michigan and also in Mexico.
Her career included work at the Salvation Army DHQ where she spent time in the finance department, the DS office, and human resources. After a short retirement, she returned to the Salvation Army ARC.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Cook Funeral Home – Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 4219 Park Lane, Dorr, MI 49323. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bear Lake Township Cemetery.
In honor of Karen and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Interment will be at Bear Lake Township Cemetery. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guest book online.
