Karen Swift, age 63, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 4, 2025. Karen was known for her spunky personality and her “go-go-go” attitude. She rarely sat still, and loved to go shopping at local boutiques, explore the sandy beaches for shells and keepsakes, and spend quality time with her family whom she cherished.
Karen will be deeply missed by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Swift; daughter, Ashley Swift; granddaughter, Brooklyn; sister, Erika (Jeff) Heywood; niece and nephew, Rachel and Brandon. Karen was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Hess and brother, Armand Hess.
A visitation celebrating Karen’s life will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Cook Funeral Home – Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. In memory of Karen and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choosing for cancer research.
