Marv Hibma, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Mitchell, Jeremy, and Katie; son-in-law, Brian Tava. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, June Hibma; children Marcia Tava, Bruce (Julie) Hibma, Brian (Joan) Hibma; grandchildren Zackery (Skyelar) Hibma, Angela (Justin) Berens, Holly Hibma; great-grandchildren Jacob Berens, Molly Berens, and one coming in December; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marv enjoyed bowling, fishing, his dogs, and spending time going to the U.P. He loved spending time with his family and we will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025 at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at First Byron CRC, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Marv, memorial contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital or Gift of Life.
