Michael Richard Boshnyak

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Denise T. Boshnyak; two sons Jeffrey M. Boshnyak (Kelli) of Wyoming, Michigan, and Steven M. Boshnyak (Jes Jo) of Delton, Michigan; three grandchildren Brandon, Grace, and Elijah; two sisters Janis Davies (Ted) of Grant, Michigan, and Diane Terry (Rex) of Carter Lake, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Lila Boshnyak of Wyoming, Michigan. Those who will also miss him dearly are his sisters-in-law Darlene, Diane (Mike), Nadine, and Patti (Gregg), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Rachel Boshnyak and his brother, Larry Boshnyak.

As a member of Mars Hill Bible Church, Michael enjoyed serving communion, greeting people who attended the services, and participating in his small group Bible study. He was a security administrator in the IT department at SpartanNash and retired after 36 years. He loved the outdoors, especially walking and hiking the North Country and Appalachian Trails. He also enjoyed concerts, nurturing houseplants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mars Hill Bible Church, 3501 Fairlanes Ave. SW Grandville, MI 49418. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30, also at the church. Masks will be required.
