She is survived by children Kathy (Len) Troast, Carol (Ken deceased) Scholten, Jim (Kathy) Meindertsma; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Dolly Warner and Lois Mulder. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brothers Raymond, Howard (Edna), Chester, Russell (Mary) Warner.
Muriel married the love of her life John, on June 8, 1950. Together they shared 49 years of faith, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to their family. She was known for her quilting, knitting, sewing, and she served her church as a Bible study leader and Stephen’s Ministry mentor. One of her greatest joys was encouraging her grandchildren and watching them grow!
The celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026 at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made First Byron Christian Reformed Church Missions or Faith Hospice.
