On Monday, March 28, 2022, Robert “Bob” Kaiser, went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Patricia Kaiser; brother, Henry Kaiser; sister-in-law, Nancy Warner. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Ross) Kaiser; son, Jason (Lisa) Kaiser; daughter, Sarah (Mike) McClish; grandkids Avarie, Evan, Ella, Emma, Ivy Kaiser; brother, James (Sherry) Kaiser; sister-in-law, Betty Kaiser; brother-in-law, Don Warner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bob married Karen Ross on July 10, 1965, and they had two children, Jason and Sarah. He was a graduate of Wayland Union High School and Western Michigan University. He retired from Spartan Stores in 2003 where he served in many management positions, including Director of Retail Operations, President of Harding's Markets, President of Valuland Inc., President of Family Fare Supermarkets, and President of Churchill Supermarkets of Toledo, Ohio. He also served the community of Byron Center as a Board of Education member from 1981-2001, including 18 years as president. He was part of the Byron Township Recreation Commission for 14 years. He was named to the Advisory Council for the Van Singel Fine Arts Center in 1988.
The ministry of the church was of utmost importance to Bob. He served at Byron Center Bible Church as an elder, Sunday School superintendent, and Sunday School teacher. He volunteered his time to IFCA International, an association of independent churches, pastors, Christian workers, and layman. With the IFCA, he served as meeting planner and annual site negotiator. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Bible Mission, the church planting arm of the IFCA International.
He always enjoyed watching the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He loved traveling, doing yard work, cheering for the University of Michigan football and basketball teams, as well as the Cornerstone University basketball teams. Bob enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida, which included regular trips to Disney World.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at Byron Center Bible Church, 8855 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Byron Center Bible Church, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God’s Helping Hands, P.O. Box 385, Gobles, MI 49055.
