Roger Duane Izenbaard

Roger Duane Izenbaard, age 76 of Byron Center, MI, passed away peacefully Friday, August 15, 2025. As a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda; and their children Lisa and Jeff Bulthuis, Michael and Haley Izenbaard, and Mark Izenbaard. He was a devoted grandfather to Kruesie, Daylia, Belladia, Gloriana, Emmaus, Christian, Levi, Ezra, and Olive. Roger will be missed by his siblings Char Triemstra and Brenda and Dan Balkema. His brother-in-law, Wendell and sister-in-law, Amy will also grieve his loss. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Don and Evelyn Izenbaard; his wife’s parents Bill and Anna Aukeman; brother-in-law, Chuck Triemstra; sister-in-law, Bevery Regts; brother-in-law, John Regts; and brother-in-law, Joseph Caires.

Having been a devoted member of First Byron CRC for many years, his presence will be missed there as well. Roger’s passions included helping his kids with an abundance of projects, hunting, fishing, and attending South Christian High School sporting events. Visitations will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 22, at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to South Christian High School or Dutton Christian School.
