Seymour J. (Seets) Zuidema, age 83, went to be with his Lord Thursday, October 8, 2025. Seymour was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Sadie Zuidema and sister, Anna Mae Grit. He will be remembered by his brother-in-law, Don Grit; two cousins who were close to him, Sherm and Ed Haveman; plus many cousins and friends.
Seymour was born in Byron Center September 13, 1942. He went to work on Van Solkema Farms where, for 43 years, he planted radishes. He enjoyed going to Woody’s for breakfast. He loved cars, auto racing, and country music. Seymour attended First Byron CRC his entire life.
A celebration of Seymour’s life will commence 11 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, at First Byron CRC, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Pastor Jean Gomes will be officiating. In honor of Seymour and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the hospice caretakers that took great care of Seymour the last few months.
