Mrs. Susan L. Wild

On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Susan Lynn Wild, age 76, stepped into the light of God’s loving presence.

Susan was born on September 9, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan and married Byron G. Wild in 1964. She graduated from Western Michigan University and earned her Master of Education degree from Michigan State University. She taught first and third grades at Runciman Elementary and Alto Elementary schools in the Lowell Area School District and retired in 2002.

Susan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher, finding every opportunity to pour knowledge, experience and discovery into young lives and demonstrate the love of Jesus to all. She enjoyed traveling with her family, sewing, painting, gardening and reading and served in many ministries in her local church.

Susan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Byron G. Wild; their children Kimberly (Todd) Rundhaug and Mark (Darci) Wild; their grandchildren Victoria Rundhaug, James Rundhaug, Cayden Wild, Aliya Wild and Lucas Wild; her sister, Kris Thomson; brothers- and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by their firstborn, Tammy Wild; her parents Eric and Madeline Ericson; her parents-in-law, Edward and Eileen Wild; her brother, Rick Ericson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew, Shawn Donnelly.

Visitation will commence on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately afterwards on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline NE at 2 p.m.

In remembrance of Susan Wild’s life, charitable contributions can be made to Calvary Church. Interment will be at Cascade Cemetery. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
