Thelma Walcott, age 90 resident of Sunset Manor, went to be with her Lord Monday January 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Loren; parents Martin and Beana Faber; brother, Albertus Faber; sister, Irene Workman; and granddaughter, Ashley Walcott. She is survived by her children Gord (Mary) Walcott, Rhonda (Randy) Vander Galien, Carl (Pat) Walcott, Don (Karen) Walcott; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Greta Vander Heide, Lorraine Kuiper, and Betty Ritsema; sisters-in-law Bonnie Faber, Luanne Dola, and Twyla Lanning; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 and Tuesday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center. Funeral services will follow 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Cook Funeral Home with Pastor KC Vande Streek officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Legacy Foundation.
