Tony was the son of the late Rodney Jones and Marilyn (Rewa) Jones. He was married to Tammy (DeBoer) Jones. Tony was the sole proprietor of T. Jones Trucking. When he wasn’t on the road, he enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends, restoring old cars, and building things. His ability to build or to fix things was legendary. There seemed to be nothing that he couldn’t do. Tony worked hard all his life and was very generous, and always taking the time to help out others.
But what Tony was most proud of, and that which is his most enduring legacy, was his family. They were his greatest joy; everything he did was for their happiness and prosperity.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rodney Jones. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy (DeBoer) Jones; children Jack, Devin, and Molly (Deven) Bonnema; and grandchildren Bella, Braxley, McKinley, and Bohdi. He is also survived by his mother, Marilyn (Rewa) Jones; younger sister, Julie (Reed) Koops; and older brother, Rodney (Mary Jo) Jones Jr.
Tony will be deeply missed. While his funeral service and interment will be attended by immediate family only, everyone is invited to a celebration of Tony’s life from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that people make donations to a worthy charity in Tony’s name. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresbyron.com in their guestbook online.
