Wendal Swanson

Wendal Swanson, age 90 of Kentwood, passed away January 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Emmy and Joseph Swanson and brother Joe Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children Sally (Dale) Haveman, Paula Kellogg, Pam (Wolfgang) Heidenreich; stepchildren Raymond (Sue) Stafford Jr., Bill Stafford, Lori Hayes, Lisa (Dave) Simon; grandchildren, Chad Swanson, Rodney (Jen) Haveman, Brad Haveman, Kim (Tony) Berbary, Jacob (Amanda) Heidenreich, Jessica (Brian) Carpenter, Jeanna (Travis) Mcalary, Dan Heidenreich, Kelly Kellogg, Josh (Mary) Hayes, Jordan (Jessica) Hayes, Julie (Donnele) Starks, Jonathan (Nicole) Stafford, Angela (Greg) White, Jeff (Nicole) Simon, Kelli (Matt) Gulch, and Kristen Simon; and 30 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 - 3 pm Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center. The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guestbook at www.cookcaresbyron.com.

Was so glad to be able ,to welcome into our family,when he met and fell in love with my sister ,he added so much enjoyment to her life as she did to his,I am so glad they had the time together that they did, wendal was a very loving caring man to not only Gary and I but to all Sharon kids and family he will be miss and our prayers go out to Sharon and wendal kids also
