William M. Butcher

William "Billy" Butcher, age 56, of Hegewisch, formerly of Calumet City, passed away February 14, 2012. He is survived by his children: Amanda and Craig Butcher; grandson, Elijah Butcher; his close friend and father, Ronald Butcher; his sisters: Patricia (Peter) O'Loughlin, Kathleen Nordgren, Barbara (Rhona) Butcher; brother, Daniel (Terry) Butcher; uncle, Denny Butcher; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; many life long friends and former wife, Karen Butcher. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lois Butcher. To know Billy was to love him. He had a big heart and loved his family and friends. He was a great story teller with a quick wit and a contagious laugh. Billy was a third generation pipe fitter and a proud member of Local 597. He retired after thirty two years of service. His best memories were of his trade and fellow fitters.
