Alfred "Al" Francis Pomeroy

Passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2011 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 77 with the love and support of his family. Forever loved Dad to Michal (Marlene), Christopher and Shelagh. Grandpa “Pa” to Emily and Caitlin Pomeroy. Cherished Brother of Ruth Fraley and Esther Carlton. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (1996) and his brother Marston Pomeroy. Al was a Military Police Officer, a Mason, Police Auxiliary Officer, had a successful career as a Water Treatment Specialist and still managed to make it possible to dedicate his time to many worthy organizations, most notably the Canadian Diabetes Association. Al’s family invites you to share your memories during a visitation at the T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Brethren of Grand River Lodge No. 151 A.F. & A.M. will hold a Masonic Service at the funeral home commencing at 7 pm on November 30th. W. Bro. Pomeroy was a Past Master of the Lodge. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on December 1st, 2011 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Trinity Anglican Cemetery at 1:30pm. Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Al’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
